In 2013, the University of Rwanda (UR) was created by the Government of Rwanda by merging Public Higher Learning Institutions in Rwanda. It has a drive of enhancing the quality of Rwanda’s higher education to contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
To achieve that purpose,UR started graduate and postgraduate programmes, and the Government of Rwanda through Higher Education Council (HEC) under the Loan Scheme offers sponsorships to successful applicants to be enrolled in those programmes. More scholarships are also offered by UR different partners in research and by scholar programmes as well such as the UR Sweden Program, and Regional Centres of Excellence. The Centre for Postgraduate Studies which is one of the UR Centres has a mission to coordinate all those Postgraduate Studies by a fair preparation and coordination of announcements of scholarships, selections, admissions and nomination of awards.
Thank you to choose UR for your own capacity building.
